Heritage Scholarship Program
The Montana Stockgrowers Foundation’s Heritage Scholarship Program honors the past, supports the present, and invests in the future of Montana’s ranching community. Through this program, MSF awards scholarships to students who demonstrate a passion for agriculture, leadership, and continuing the legacy of Montana’s ranching heritage.
The program includes multiple scholarship opportunities for students pursuing higher education in a variety of fields—from university degrees that strengthen and advance the ranching industry, to vocational and technical training that builds the skilled workforce Montana depends on.
By supporting the next generation of ranchers, agricultural professionals, and industry leaders, the Heritage Scholarship Program ensures that Montana’s proud ranching traditions continue to thrive for generations to come.

Over Educated Cowboy Scholarship
The Ansotegui family, through MSF, will offer multiple scholarships to students seeking a profession in the field of animal husbandry. Dr. Raymond “Ray” P. Ansotegui was the consummate ambassador to the cowboy way of life. He supported the future of ranching by balancing the best of tradition with the newest research. After his passing, the Ansotegui family established a memorial fund through MSF to honor Ray’s passion of combining education and the ranching lifestyle.
